Common questions
Who is my employer?
EmployItaly, through its ItalyTeams brand, is your legal employer in Italy. The Nordic company directs your work every day. We handle contract, payslip, tax and contributions.
Is it a normal Italian contract?
Yes. Same contract types, same CCNL, same rights as an employee of any Italian company.
When am I paid?
Monthly, by transfer to your Italian or EU account, with a payslip. The pay date is in your contract.
Do I file taxes myself?
Not normally. Income tax and your contributions are withheld from your pay, and each year you receive the CU certificate. A tax return is needed only for other income or to claim deductions.
Does it count for my pension?
Yes. Contributions go to INPS like for any employee in Italy.
My team is in Stockholm. Do I get Swedish holidays?
No. You follow Italian public holidays and your CCNL. Your team plans around both calendars.
What happens when I leave?
You receive any TFR not already paid into a fund, unused leave and the accrued share of the 13th month. If you are dismissed you may be entitled to unemployment benefit (NASpI) under the normal rules.
Can I work from home?
Yes, if agreed with the company. The remote work agreement is written into your contract.
Something is wrong in my payslip.
Write to us. You get a named contact in our payroll team, in Italian or English.
I am not an EU citizen.
We handle the work permit and visa together with the company.
